To better protect your privacy, we provide this policy explaining our information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

This privacy statement informs you about how AML collects and manages personal data. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to provide you with clear explanation of when, why and how we collect and use your personal data and it explains your statutory rights. This Privacy Policy is not intended to override the terms of any contract you have with us, nor any rights you might have under applicable data privacy laws.

2.             What information do we collect, legal grounds for it, to which third parties is it transferred and for how long is it stored?

AML processes personal data in accordance with this privacy policy.

 

(Potential) clients and suppliers:

Processing purposes

AML collects and processes the personal data of (potential) clients and suppliers for client and supplier management (such as client administration, follow-up of orders/deliveries, invoicing, monitoring solvency and sending advertisement).

Lawfulness of processing

Personal data are processed on the basis of article 6.1. (b) necessary for the performance of a contract, (c) necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, (f) necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interests to undertake of the General Data Protection Regulation

Transfer to third parties

If necessary for the realization of the intended objectives, the personal data will be shared with others within the European Economic Area that are connected with AML directly or indirectly;

AML guarantees that these recipients will take the necessary technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data.

Storage period

The personal data processed for client and supplier management will be retained for the period necessary to comply with legal requirements (such as in the scope of accountancy).

 

Applicants:

Processing purposes

AML collects and processes the personal data of applicants for the selection of personnel and contractors.

Lawfulness of processing

Personal data are processed on the basis of article 6.1. (a) consent, (f) necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interests to undertake of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Transfer to third parties

These data will not be shared with others.

Storage period

The personal data processed for the selection of personnel and contractors will be retained for 6 months after the final contact (data will be destroyed the latest on 31 December of the year in which this time point was reached).

 

Participants of training courses:

Processing purposes

AML collects and processes the personal data of participants of training courses for the registration and documentation of the followed training course.

Lawfulness of processing

Personal data are processed on the basis of article 6.1. (b) necessary for the performance of a contract of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Transfer to third parties

These data will not be shared with others.

Storage period

The personal data processed for registration and documentation of the training courses will be retained until 36 months after the training course (data will be destroyed the latest on 31 December of the year in which this time point was reached).

 

Visitors office building:

Processing purposes

AML collects and processes the personal data of visitors of the office building for safeguard.

Lawfulness of processing

Personal data are processed on the basis of article 6.1. (f) necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interests to undertake of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Transfer to third parties

These data will not be shared with others.

Storage period

The personal data processed for safeguard will be retained until 12 months after the registration (data will be destroyed the latest on 31 December of the year in which this time point was reached).

 

3.             Your rights in relation to your Personal data

3.1      Subject to certain exemptions, and in some cases dependent upon the processing activity we are undertaking, where you reside within the European Union (EU), you have the following rights in this paragraph:

·   to request that we provide you with a copy of your Personal data that we hold and you have the right to be informed of; (a) the source of your Personal data; (b) the purposes, legal basis and methods of processing; (c) the data controller’s identity; and (d) the entities or categories of entity to whom your Personal data may be transferred;

·   to request that we cease processing your Personal data, in whole or in part, as you direct us, for any purpose, save to the extent it is lawful to do so without consent;

·   to request that we restrict the processing of your Personal data where: (a) the accuracy of the Personal data is contested; (b) the processing is unlawful but you object to the erasure of the Personal data; (c) we no longer require the Personal data for the purposes for which it was collected, but it is required for the establishment, exercise or defense of a legal claim;

·   to request that we erase your Personal data in limited circumstances where it is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose(s) for which it was collected or processed;

·   to challenge processing which we have justified on the basis of a legitimate interest;

·   to request that we not transfer your Personal data to unaffiliated third parties for the purposes of direct marketing or any other purposes;

·   to request that we change the manner in which we contact you for marketing purposes;

·   to request that we correct any errors in your Personal data;

·   to request that we update your Personal data as required.

In order to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

 

5.            Intellectual property

The content of this website, including any brands, logos, drawings, data, product or company names, texts, images, etc. are protected by intellectual property rights belonging to AML or authorized third parties.

The information on the website is of a general nature. The information has not been adapted to personal or specific circumstances. Thus it may not be considered as personal, professional or legal advice to the user.

AML makes every effort to supply only information which is complete, correct, accurate and up-to-date. Despite these efforts there may be errors in the information supplied. The Belgian right is applicable to the website. In case of dispute, only the courts of the jurisdiction Leuven are qualified.
